BAUHAUS Goes Green

BioFlex Hybrid Foam
We use BioFlex hybrid foam made with biophyls (soy oil) for our foam requirements. This foam is manufactured with Cargill polyol rather than the petro-based polyol which is commonly used in conventional foams. The results are 23% reduction in total energy demand for the product of foam and a 61% reduction in non-renewable energy use.
In addition, the foam lessens the dependency on fossil fuels including foreign crude oils. The use of this hybrid foam also helps reduce the environmental footprint by decreasing global warming emissions by 36% all while supporting the American farmer and allowing us to buy a “Made in America” product.
